This year we celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the “OLD SPANISH DAYS FIESTA.”
You can enjoy this yearly event from July 30 to August 3, 2014 with many spectacular live events. For the next few days Santa Barbara welcomes locals and visitors from all over the world with lively entertainment, colorful dancers, music from many mariachi bands and delectable dishes from local restaurants and street vendors, and lets not forget the refreshing Margaritas.

The “OLD SPANISH DAYS FIESTA” provides an insight of Santa Barbara’s rich cultural heritage.
Here are some of the highlights of this years events:
Wednesday July 30th
La Fiesta Pequeña or “The Little Fiesta” 8:00pm
This visually rich event opens officially the Old Spanish Days with traditional songs and dances on the steps of Santa Barbara’s historic Old Mission.

Thursday July 31st
Celebración de los Dignatarios; 5:00pm–10:00pm
Celebrate the 90th Anniversary with delicious food & wine and dancing in the beautiful gardens of the Santa Barbara Zoo
Santa Barbara Zoo, 500 Niños Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93103.
Friday August 1st
Fiesta Stock Horse Show & Rodeo (Competencia de los Vaqueros) 7:00am & 12:00noon
where the best riders compete in Roping, Barrel Racing and Non-Pro Stock Horse Class and Buckaroo Class to name a few.

El Desfile Histórico (Historical Parade) 12:00 noon
One of the largest equestrian parades in the US.
The parade starts at West Cabrillo Blvd along the beach to State Street and the riders dazzle spectators with gorgeous horses and lovely historic costumes. You can view this event free

Las Noches de Ronda (“Nights of Gaiety”); 8:00pm
Lively show filled with Spanish Flamenco and Folklórico dances from Mexico

Saturday August 2nd
84th Annual El Desfile De Los Niños (Children’s Parade); 10:00am
This fun parade is held on State Street between Victoria Street and Ortega Street.
Sunday August 3rd
West Coast Symphony 45th Annual Free Fiesta Concert; 3:30pm
A family event with beautiful music at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens, 1100 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
